Saturday, 16 April 1757 (Reading Mercury) John Barnet indicted for a burglary in the dwelling house of John Butler in the parish of Remenham on 20th November 1756: stealing therefrom a linen bag (valued at 1d), 3 foreign gold 36/- pieces, 2 gold Moidores (each with a value of 27/-), 8 gold guineas, 8 gold half guineas and ?9 in money numbered.
